Marguerite Colligan
This is her 6th show with the CentreStage Dance Company and she is a regular performer at the Dance Forever studio in Braintree. When she is not dancing she is busy working at the YMCA in Marshfield and raising her family. She makes her home in Duxbury with her husband Jim and her 2 children.
Betsy Getchell
Betsy has been performing with CentreStage for 8 summer shows and also a performer at Dance Forever. She is a music teacher in the Hull public schools and spends her summers teaching swimming in Randolph. She is also the choir director at Heritage United Methodist church in Braintree and organist at Saint Joseph’s Church in Quincy Point. She resides in Weymouth with her husband and 7 cats. She thanks her husband for his love and support.
Laurie Jordan
This is Laurie’s 10th show with the company. Laurie’s an avid performer and can be seen in many productions on the South Shore. She performs in Hingham’s Cabaret every year and studies dance at Dance Forever in Braintree. When not dancing she is studying for her masters in special needs and also is a waitress in Hingham. She lives in Hull with her husband and 3 children. She would like to thank her family for their support and is enjoying performing with her daughter this show.
Donna McConville
Donna has been a member of the company since 1992. She also performs with Dance Forever and other groups on the South Shore. She is a CPA and last summer passed the bar exam and is currently employed by Ernst and Young in Boston. She resides in Rockland with her husband and son. She is also the e-mail queen of the studios. She would like to thank her wonderful husband for his love and support over the years. Keep dancin!
MaryLou Muirhead
The newest member of the company, this is her 3nd show. MaryLou also studies and performs at Dance Forever in Braintree. When she is not performing, she is performing before judges as a lawyer, specializing in condominium law. She recently moved to Quincy and we are happy to have her join us.
Cindy Paini
Cindy has been dancing since she was 3 and studied extensively with Sally Zylar in Manchester, NH. She performs regularly with Dance Forever. When she is not dancing, Cindy is traveling extensively in the states and overseas with her job with Meditech, teaching computer applications to hospitals. She resides in Scituate, where she is happy to be near the ocean. We enjoy the enthusiasm she brings to the company.
Bob Platka
Mr. Rob is a 4th grade teacher in Scituate. For many years he has performed as the sound engineer for his wife’s studio Dance Forever in Braintree. We are happy to have him step in front of the spotlight. An avid bicyclist he is known to ride to work every day from his home in Hull. He recently returned from his annual vacation/biking trip to France during the Tour de France. This is Bob’s 4th show with the CentreStage Dancers.
Scott Youngstrom
As one of the original members of the company this is Scott’s 11th show in a row. He has a BFA in theatre from Southwest Missouri State University and attended American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City. He currently works at WHDH-TV in Boston and is also an avid bicyclist in his spare time. Originally from St. Louis, he now is a Pembroke resident with his lovely wife and 3 children.
Kerry Youngstrom
Founder and Artistic Director of the company she is thrilled to be living her lifelong dream of teaching and performing with all her wonderful and supportive students. She has been teaching dance for over 20 years. Majored in dance at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, she did a summer internship in Illinois with the Gus Giordano, a pioneer in jazz dance. For the past 16 years she has been teaching and performing with the Dance Forever Studio under the direction of Polly Feinberg, Kerry is the owner of the Gotta Dance studio in Duxbury.. She makes her home in Pembroke with her husband and 3 children. She would like to thank her family for all their encouragement, love and support through the years and for always being her biggest fans.
